Meet the 2025 FFN Award winners:
Anthony Waddle is an American conservationist, based in Australia, who dedicates his work to saving amphibians from one of the most devastating diseases known to amphibians: Chytrid fungus. It is Anthony’s mission to develop innovative, science-based solutions that can be directly implemented to save endangered amphibian species.
Kumar Paudel is a conservationist from Nepal who works to protect the world’s most trafficked yet often overlooked species — the pangolin. By combining scientific research, policy advocacy, and grassroots action, Kumar is building a conservation model that can be replicated across South Asia and beyond.
Ruthmery Pillco Huarcaya is a Peruvian conservation biologist who protects the fragile cloud forest of the Andes and all species that call this place their home. Her interdisciplinary approach combines field research, environmental education, and advocacy to ensure a holistic conservation model.
