Matt Shirley lecture

Do you want to find out what it is like to work with crocodiles? Or are you interested in finding out what happens behind the scenes of conservation work?

Future For Nature award winner Matthew Shirley will join us to speak about his work in crocodile conservation in an online guest lecture on the 25th of February from 18:00 – 20:00 CET.

Since 2006 he went through all of West Africa studying the ecology and evolution of African crocodiles. With his project, breeding slender-snouted crocodiles to reinforce and revive crocodiles in Côte d’Ivoire’s national parks and wilderness areas, he established a basis for their conservation.

He will give unique insights into the work of a wildlife conservationist, the political aspect behind, his project and much more. Save the date, if you want to find out more about this topic and his ground-breaking work.
