This research question is being investigated by Grietjie Stander, field guide and wildlife research assistant at Mogalakwena Research Centre in South Africa. She is dedicated to wildlife research and performs several studies within the reserve.

Besides her job at Mogalakwena Research Centre, she is performing her thesis at the reserve as well. Her thesis is about the effects of climate change on the breeding success of the three African hornbills.
