Workshop Wildlife Crime

August 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

As a follow up to our lecture on Wildlife crime by Andrew Lemieux (June 26) we organize an interactive workshop on this topic on August 24 2018 in Wageningen. Several leading experts (see names below) will pitch about their work with ample of time for discussion and making plans together to combat wildlife crime!

Poaching and the illegal trade in wildlife products is a major conservation challenge of the 21st century. Many scientists and conservationists are using their expertise to understand and tackle this complicated problem. On the 24th of August, you have the chance to hear their stories first-hand at the Wildlife crime seminar “From source to market”. During the seminar the whole ‘chain’ of wildlife crime will be discussed, including poaching in protected areas, transportation to markets and consumption by end-users.

The seminar is free and open to students, researchers, practicioners and other professionals interested in the topic. Please register via this link: https://goo.gl/forms/DiP11UOQvKoCI7jk1

We hope to see you all on the 24th of August!
